If you follow route 102 into Gagetown, Greig Pottery is at the end of the road where the rubber meets the river. Both studio and shop are nestled on the banks of the St John River, based in a former general and dry goods store built in 1912. Here Greig Pottery has breathed new life into these old buildings and continues that mercantile tradition with a twist. We not only sell our work here but manufacture on site and welcome the public into the studio to watch the process.
Our shop is in full bloom with color year round. Since 1976 we have developed the synonymous Apple patterns, a motif which reflects the surrounding orchards. Over the years we have expanded to include floral patterns of pansies and lupines. Whether it be the apple, floral, earthy or the all white Jackie Collection, our shop offers a wide selection.
Over the winter months Flo offers cabin fever workshops. These are fourteen hour sessions where five people come into the studio to experiment and play with clay.
Greig Pottery extends its reach by selling at Juried Retail Craft Shows in Fredericton, Rothesay, Moncton and Halifax, where we have the opportunity to meet and talk with customers. We sell our work wholesale to shops across Canada with emphasis on the Maritimes where our Celtic Designs are popular.
When you visit our shop at 36 Front Street you’ll find everything from buttons to bathroom sinks. We welcome special and personalized orders such as graduation, anniversary and retirement wall pieces, and love a challenge with one of a kind orders. Contact us by e-mail, the web, toll free phone or drop in anytime!
